Who We Are?

Once upon a time, in the misty streets of the United Kingdom, while sipping tea (as one does in the UK), destiny knocked, or rather, poured itself into my life. A good friend from an East African diplomatic family wasn’t just about formal dinners and important meetings; they were also in the bottled water business back home.

Curiosity and intrigue led to a hastily planned trip to their hometown, to see firsthand how this fascinating business could possibly work. During that visit, the idea of launching our own bottled water brand in their Village, began to bubble in the mind. The vision was so vivid; crisp, refreshing water flowing into neatly branded bottles, quenching thirsts across the country. It seemed like the perfect plan!

But then came a plot twist…my father. Upon hearing of the grand East African dreams and plans, he raised a simple but powerful question: “Why not Zimbabwe?” After all, it was home.

Scepticism crept in, I was neither convinced nor mildly excited, operating under the misguided pretence that Zimbabwe was just simply not ready for a top-tier bottled water brand. Would the idea even work?

Instead of debating, my father decided to prove a point in the most dramatic way possible, by taking action. He went ahead, sourced the water, bottled it, and slapped on a bold label: OASIS. Then, like a magician revealing his grand trick, he proudly presented the bottle.

I was stunned. The sight of the crisp, clean bottle, proudly carrying a brand that could be Zimbabwe’s own, changed everything. The scepticism faded, excitement took over, and just like that, we made the bold decision to manufacture OASIS Water in Zimbabwe. I packed up, moved back home, and in 2012, OASIS Water was officially born.

As OASIS grew, so did the need to get this refreshing water into more hands, homes, and businesses. The thirst for expansion (pun fully intended) led to the birth of Pearlspot Enterprise (Pvt) Ltd in 2014. A distribution powerhouse that not only ensured OASIS Water reached far and wide but also handled other competitive brands.

And that’s how a simple friendship, a father’s challenge, and a leap of faith turned a sip of inspiration into a ripple effect of success.
